Our Services
Horsemanship and Training
Combining natural horsemanship and the principles of classical dressage, we offer horse centred and care focused starting, schooling, foal and young horse handling (pre-school), and long term development.
All inclusive fee (Training, hay/hayledge, hard feed, grazing).
Stud and Horse Sales
Based in the King Country hills, we breed happy, well socialised, sure footed and professionally handled sport horses suitable for a range of sport and pleasure disciplines.
We have two outstanding young stallions: HVH Sovereign (Clydesdale) and Quintiago WD (Imp Warmblood).
Our youngsters have consistently proven to be versatile, sensible, and athletic companions suitable for anyone from happy hackers to serious competitors alike.
Lodge and Retreats
We offer a range of accommodation including, private rooms, family rooms and backpacker style bunk rooms. We are a self catered venue with an equipped kitchen and shared communal areas.

Many will know us from our former location and name, Kaipaki Horsemanship, based just outside of Cambridge.
Now in Hikumutu, we continue to offer a boutique training service centred on building confidence, understanding and trust with your equine companion. We strive to deliver the same high quality services we have become known for, centred on horse wellbeing and care, from our new/returned to home.
We have moved back to the farm Murray grew up on, answering the call of the King country hills in the central north island, just outside of Taumarunui. From here we are able to provide horses and owners a more enriching, and well rounded service as well as a few other new offerings, all while acting as guardians for this stunning slice of paradise.
