We are so thrilled to share this young stallion with you all and to be introducing some world class warmblood genetics into our breeding program.

‘Quin’ is a 5yo warmblood stallion by Quarterback x (De Niro, Contango II). Imported from Australia as a weanling, we have been quietly bursting with excitement about this young lad for a few years now - but we wanted to be 100% sure he was going to be stallion material before we shared his journey with you all.

Quin’s sire Quaterback has been a prolific producer of dressage horses, as well as having Olympian Quando Quando as his grand-sire. His dam’s sire, De Niro, needs no introduction as he is undoubtedly one of the most successful dressage sires in history. Also in his pedigree you find Contango, who sired the twice Olympic dressage competitor Ravel, ridden by Steffan Peters, and the imported Trakehner stallions Koenigsburg and Copernicus. We believe that Quintiago WD is an extremely exciting dressage and breeding prospect.

Standing currently at 16hh (and still growing), he is a versatile size for a breeding stallion, able to cover and improve a wide range of mares. Quin boasts expressive movement and natural ability and, perhaps most importantly, Quin is proving to be a straightforward and sensible stallion to handle and work with, as well as a total dreamboat to ride.

The young casanova already has a couple of babies on the ground from, who have exceeded our expectations, and a few more on the way. At this stage we are going to limit him to covering our own mares while we continue to focus on his education and develop him under saddle, however we hope to have him available to breed to outside mares next season.

Standing currently at approximately 18hh, this lad offers buckets of gentle presence. He is proving straightforward to handle and train with plenty of engine mixed with enough woh to help you relax in to the ride.

He’s the first to the gate to meet you and we expect to continue to offer the same calibre of sport horse that his dad stamped into the New Zealand market.

Sovereign has his first foal on the way this season and we hope to be offering his services for AI to outside mares next season.
